JD Max Fitness, LLC is offering a fantastic new patented, “why didn’t someone else think of this before”, product named “Hookers” that aids in the ability of an individual to perform an Olympic squat with greatly improved ergonomics and functionality.

Hookers Barbell Handles are the first ever engineered barbell handles that, when applied to an Olympic barbell, allow an individual to hold and stabilize a barbell approximately six inches anteriorly (to the front) which dramatically changes and improves the ergonomics of the motion.

The grip variation that the Hookers Barbell Handles provide eliminates painful shoulder impingement, rotator cuff strain and lower back hyperextension while maintaining trapezius dorsi contraction to cushion and protect the cervical spine while performing an Olympic squat.

Hookers Barbell Handles have an innovative and never before seen alternating hook system technology that can retrofit any Olympic barbell, easily hooking to a barbell and providing a secure and safe alternative to traditional, less ergonomically sound, Olympic squatting techniques.

This product is made of solid steel construction, tested to hold up to 1200lbs/pair, with a durable friction and wear resistance coating on the hooks to eliminate unwanted motion during use.

HOOKERS BARBELL HANDLES

OLYMPIC SQUATTING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Secure Hookers Barbell Handles to bar slightly wider than shoulder width
  • Contract traps and  maintain forward pressure with your hands on Hookers Barbell Handles when lifting and stabilizing the bar on your back
  • Do not push the Hooker Barbell Handles laterally (sideways) during use.  Doing so can cause the handles to interfere with racking the bar after performing a set (*please refer to images below)
  • Always initially test the handles with an unloaded bar before use to allow you to become comfortable with the equipment.
  • Always use an experienced spotter when using Hookers Barbell Handles
  • If the handles show any signs of wear and tear (e.g., coating wear & weld stress cracks), do not use and contact  manufacturer
